(A fundraising adventure for the Lake County Youth Home)
Big Productions is celebrating its 21st Season with a new 7 concert lineup. Five of the concerts will be held in the new Ronan Performing Arts Center and the other two will be at Polson High School Auditorium. Big Productions said that the series is weighted in favor of Ronan this year, because Polson got the majority last year in anticipation of the new Performing Arts Center in Ronan that is part of the Ronan Middle School complex.
For the past 3 years free admission for youth was so successful that the Youth Home plans to continue to give back to the community by admitting anyone 18 and under for free. (11 and under must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.) Big Productions is also planning to coordinate more than half dozen school concerts as the season unfolds. Look for a refrigerator poster in the Mission Valley Power and Ronan Telephone Company statements this fall, but here is a quick peek at the 2008-09 series.
Our Season features:
Jay Ungar and Molly Mason - Violin, Mandolin, Guitar, Banjo and Piano
The Bottom Line Duo - Warm Sonority and Soaring Melodic Beauty
Chuck Suchy - Great American Songwriter
Storyhill - Rock, Roots, Blues and Country
The Cantrells - Acoustic Folk and Bluegrass, with Detours into Celtic, Western Swing and Americana
The Repertory Dance Theater - Internationally Acclaimed Dance Troupe
Small Potatoes - Celtic to Cowboy
This winter full of performances is Big Productions' 21st season in a nutshell - the largest rural concert series in Montana - would not be possible without the dedicated local series sponsorship of Ronan Telephone Company, S & K Electronics, Don Aadsen Ford, and Super 1 and Ronan Harvest Foods. The series is made possible in part by the New England Foundation for the Arts, the Western States Arts Federation and the Montana Performing Arts Consortium Quick Grant Program, which is supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Montana Arts Council and a legislative grant from Montana’s Cultural Trust.
The most flexible ticket in the Rockies (tm)
Single tickets for any show of the season are available for only $12 ($14 at the door) and multiple admission “flex” passes are discounted. For instance, an adult can attend all 7 concerts this season for only $50. Remember, 18 and under are free, thanks to the Youth Home!
NO-RISK GUARANTEE - Either you like the concert or we give you a ticket for a future Big Production Concert, or YOUR MONEY BACK. On the spot...no questions asked! It's just that simple!
Ticket outlets in Polson are Shannon Nunlist at the Physical Therapy Storefront (211 Main) and Fiddle Sticks School of Music in Polson. True Value Hardware or Radio Shack are still on board as ticket outlets in Ronan. Concert-goers can also get tickets by calling 800 823 4386 or emailing .
